Today we headed back to Tokyo for the last leg of our trip. Here are some highlights, followed by the photos I posted to Instagram that day:
It was raining, but we managed to get to our train in Shin-Osaka and only had to be outside for about 5 seconds. We got some delicious stuff for lunch and got on a train back to Tokyo.
We made our way to the last AirBnB we’re staying in, the Totoro Room. It’s totally adorable, and it’s in the neighborhood where I stayed when I came to Tokyo for work last year, so the area is slightly familiar to me.
We walked around a bit and made our way to Tokyu Hands, a store I’ve been wanting to go to for a long, long time. It’s a department store with a huge section for stationery, and another huge section for crafting stuff. I was a little overwhelmed. In the end, I just bought a few pens and a few gifts for people, but it was a very emotional experience!
For dinner we went to a sushi restaurant that had been recommended by a colleague, Itamae Sushi in Asakasa. It was fantastic!
Walking tally: Fitbit says I walked 23.5k steps today, which is a little over 10 miles. That’s a total of over 175 miles of walking for the trip so far.
And here are the photos I posted to Instagram on this day:
And there are a lot more photos from this day in this set on flickr (with photos from June 15th & 17th also).
